Sheryl “Sherry” Skogrand, age 76, of Granite Falls passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, June 23, 2025, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls with a Prayer Service at 2:45 PM. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Sheryl Rae was born on March 7, 1949, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Lloyd and Delaine (Peterman). She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Sherry attended school at Granite Falls graduating in 1967.

After graduation, Sherry moved to Minneapolis for a bit and soon returned to Granite Falls. Upon her return, she married Steve Skogrand on December 7, 1968, and together they were blessed with two sons, Sean and Chad. They later divorced but remained good friends.

Sherry enjoyed staying home with her boys and then went to work first at Red Owl and later became a pharmacy tech at Walmart for over 20 years. She was a member of Granite Falls Lutheran Church and also enjoyed teaching Sunday School.

Sherry enjoyed her flower garden and traveling. One of her treasured memories was traveling to Atlanta, Georgia where she got to see her favorite animal, the panda. Sherry loved to watch her grandkids play sports and when she couldn’t attend in person, she would live stream the games and keep track of the stats. She was known to have a weakness for stray dogs and cats; leaving food out if she saw one in her neighborhood.

Sherry is survived by her son, Chad (Joey) Skogrand of Shakopee; daughter-in-law, Dana Skogrand of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Dora Skogrand, Brady Skogrand, Jacob Skogrand, Jacen Skogrand; great grandson, Alex Skogrand; siblings, Terry (Barb) Twedt of Newport, Debbie Foy of Granite Falls; as well as other relatives and friends.

Sherry is preceded in death by parents; son, Sean Skogrand; brother-in-law, Charlie Foy; sister-in-law, Julie Twedt.
