Sheila Hokins, 45, of Montevideo passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Rock Haven Church in Montevideo. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
Sheila Rae Hokins was born September 2, 1979 to Jon and Cindy (Leenerts) Hokins in Montevideo, Minnesota. She was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Boyd. Sheila grew up in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1998.
Sheila moved to Willmar and worked for Waves, helping out at multiple places including animal shelters, nursing homes, picking road ditches, and cleaning at a daycare. She was perfectionist and took pride in being particular with her work.
Sheila loved bowling, crafts of any kind and watching movies. She won a first-place medal in special Olympics and had a few bowling trophies. She had a passion for music and could name many songs just based off a few notes. Sheila loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed many vacations and camping trips. She loved everyone and had the biggest heart.
Sheila is survived by her parents, Jon and Cindy Hokins; siblings, Nathan Hokins and Nicole Hokins; niece, Chloe Hilt; nephews, Camden Hilt and Beau Ortiz; grandma, Erma Belshaw; uncle and aunts, Bob (Julie) Grant and Debra Stevens; boyfriend, Cody S; as well as cousins, other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale and Ethel Leenerts, Chester Hokins, Wilbur Belshaw; uncles, Robbie Leenerts, Vernon Leenerts, Ken Stevens; aunt, Judy Abner.
