Roger Reinke

Roger Dean Reinke was born on Nov. 8, 1939, in Hawk Creek Township, Renville County, MN, the son of Henry A. and Helen (Slattum) Reinke. He grew up in the Granite Falls area, attended country school and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1958.
Roger enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1959 and served his country during the Vietnam War as an aircraft mechanic stationed on several bases throughout Texas. He was honorably discharged in 1964 and while in Texas, he met his wife Fay Himes. They were happily married for 55 years.
Roger was employed at Rodger’s Hydrolics Victor Fluid Power for 36 years and then, prior to retirement, worked at Prairie’s Edge Casino in Granite Falls for 14 years. He was a proud 51 year member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Fay; his son, Raymond; his two grandchildren, Adam R. (Heather) Reinke and Alexxa R. Reinke; 2 brothers, Gerald (Darlene) Reinke & Harold Reinke; step granddaughter, Renee Barnhart; several nieces, nephews, cousins, a ‘soon’ great great nephew, great nieces, extended family and many dear friends.
Preceding Roger in death were his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; 2 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.
