Roberta Lee (Robbie) Anderson, age 54, of Clarkfield, Minnesota, passed away on November 20, 2018 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Robbie was born Lee Il Shin on March 15, 1964, in Seoul, South Korea. She grew up there in a Presbyterian orphanage and came to the United States in 1974 when she was adopted by Dr. John and Marjorie Allen of Montevideo. She arrived in Montevideo knowing no English. Special thanks go to Robbie’s speech teacher, Sue Botten who helped her greatly while she was in school. Robbie was a member of the Montevideo Gold Dusters and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1983. Following graduation Robbie worked in Montevideo as a nursing assistant, in electronics production, as a waitress and at Heather Floral. Robbie was a great card player and had a wonderful ability to make others laugh.
Robbie is survived by her children, Holly Monn of Phoenix, AZ, Abigail Hacker of Montevideo and Henry Hacker of Montevideo; sisters, Victoria Powell of Minneapolis, Kathleen Castillo of Woodbury and Elizabeth (Brian) Wagstrom of Faribault; nephew, Andrew (Abby) Wagstrom; niece, Emily Wagstrom and niece, Selsa (Lucio) Grijalva. Robbie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Marjorie Allen and stepmother, LaRae Allen.
