Robert "Bob" Maus

Robert “Bob” Maus, age 62, of Maynard passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. A private family service was held.
Robert Wendell Maus was born on December 20, 1959, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, to Wendell and Elizabeth (Hubel) Maus. He grew up on the family farm near Maynard and was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara’s Catholic Church in Clara City. Robert graduated from Maynard High School in 1978. He then attended school in Crookston, where he enjoyed playing football while taking classes.
After college, Robert farmed for a few years before moving to Rio Vista, California. There he joined a local union and worked as a journeyman carpenter. Robert liked to spend his time taking care of his dogs, fishing, participating in various water sports, and running.
Robert is survived by his brothers, William (Sharon) Maus of Chaska, Jeff (Brenda) Maus of Elko, Jim Maus of Gluek, John (Ronda) Maus of Suffolk, VA, and Greg (Melissa) Maus of Albuquerque, NM; aunts, Sally (Blair) Stoddard of Boise, ID, Rose Maus of Maynard; uncle, Philip Maus of Dawson; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Elizabeth Maus.
