RaNae Antonson, age 66, of Glenwood and formerly of Granite Falls, passed away on January 20, 2023 at Methodist Hospital – Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls and will continue Friday at 12:30 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ra Nae Helene (Albeck) (Thompson) Antonson, age 66, of Glenwood, Minnesota passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 after a five year battle with cancer. Ra Nae was born December 24, 1956, to M. Noreen and Helen (Stokke) Albeck in Hanley Falls. She was the youngest of three children. She was baptized and confirmed at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. Ra Nae attended elementary school in Hanley Falls and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1974.

Ra Nae married Robert Thompson on October 28, 1977 at Hanley Falls Lutheran Church. They farmed east of Hazel Run until Robert’s death. She worked at Family Eye Center in Willmar, Wood Lake State Bank, Schwan’s, and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) until her retirement. On April 26, 2013 Ra Nae was united in marriage to David Antonson. Ra Nae was a member in the Minnesota All State Lutheran Choir and Sons of Norway. She enjoyed spending time researching genealogy, singing and playing piano, gardening and spending time with family (especially her three grandchildren) and friends.

She is survived by her husband of nine years, David Antonson; daughter Leyna (Todd) Kaiser of Bagley, Minnesota and son Laird (Robin) Thompson of Hazel Run, Minnesota, grandchildren Kaden, Rylee, and Maverick Thompson; step-daughters Emily and Leah Antonson; brother Douglas Albeck of Minnetrista, Minnesota, and Kurt (Jane) Albeck of Rogers, Minnesota; sister-in-law Mary (Lowell) Gilbertson of Flower Mound, Texas and brother-in-law Dean (Julie) Thompson of Minnetonka, Minnesota, mother-in-law Ruth Thompson of Montevideo, Minnesota, mother-in-law Elizabeth Antonson of Granite Falls, Minnesota, sisters-in-law Judy (John) Timm, Kay (Johnny) Magnuson, Deb (Lyle Jaenisch) Ladner, and Mary Magnuson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Thompson, her parents M. Noreen and Helen Albeck, father-in-law Duane Thompson, and sister-in-law Betty Albeck.
