Mary Guevara

Mary Guevara, 66, of Marshall, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6th at 1:00 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home Chapel in Granite Falls. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Friday.

Mary Guevara was born July 22, 1959, the daughter of Juan & Anita (Lopez) Rodriquez in Floydada, Texas. She graduated from Floydada High School. The family moved to Minnesota in 1979.

Mary was united in marriage with Hilario Reyes in Willmar. Together they raised two daughters: Andrea & Araselie.

Mary was united in marriage with David Guevara on October 6, 2006, in Watertown, South Dakota. They spent some time in Michigan. Mary was always drawn to the ministry and helped with many outreach programs, spreading God’s word. She also loved to sing.

Mary is survived by her two daughters: Andrea Reyes of Hanley Falls and Araselie (Raymundo) Olvera-Reyes of Cincinnati, Ohio; husband David; three grandchildren: Sophia Hutson, Isiah Hutson and Raymundo Olvera Jr.; siblings: Rose, Armando, Paul, Anthony, Jesse, Graciela, Mary Ellen, Javier, Rachel, Roberto & Joshua; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Johnny, Adela, Jessica and Lydia; great nieces Lydia & Lauren and nephew Aaron.
