Marvin Werner

Marvin Duane Werner was born on June 16, 1949, to Ralph and Orpha Werner in Granite Falls, MN. Marv’s journey came to a close on May 19, 2026, in Foley, AL.

After graduating from Granite Falls High School in 1967, Marv went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1968 through 1972, earning an honorable discharge. In 1979, Marv married Kristi Sellevold of Slayton, MN, marking the beginning of their life together.

Marv is lovingly remembered by Kristi, three children—Jaime, Jake, and Josh—and four grandchildren: Georgia, Ella, Marlina, and Otto. He is also survived by two sisters, three brothers, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kristi’s parents, one sister, one sister-in-law, and three brothers-in-law.

A memorial service honoring Marv’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls, MN. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
