Marlys Anderson, age 92, of Clara City passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Clara City Care Center. Memorial service will be held at 1 pm Tuesday May 7th at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
Marlys Ann Anderson was born in Stony Run Township on October 23, 1931, the daughter of Erick & Anna (Anderson) Tweeter. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from the Montevideo High School.
She was united in marriage with Stanley Anderson on December 28, 1963. They made their home in the cities and in 1974, they moved back to Montevideo. Marlys worked as a seamstress for Carlson Doll Factory, Royal Interiors and Barwick’s Manufacturing, where she retired from. She enjoyed reading, antiquing, rides with Stan, visiting with folks and trips to the casino. She loved her flower garden

She is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Stanley, brothers: Richard, Harold, Rolland “Jackie” and Donald; sisters: LuVerne, Mildred and Helen.
