Kevin Tadd

Kevin Tadd, age 64, of Montevideo passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at his home.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:00 PM at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Kevin Lee Tadd was born June 14, 1960 to Wyman and Alice (McDonald) Tadd in Westbrook, Minnesota. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1978. Following graduation, Kevin attended Granite Falls VoTech.

Kevin married Karen Kvam on May 21, 1983 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo. The couple made their home in Montevideo and were blessed with two children, Kyle and Kari. They spent 42 loving years together.

Kevin worked as an engineer at MTI for many years before retiring in 2024. He enjoyed grilling all kinds of meats on his smoker, woodworking and photography. He could often be found spending time on his computer, whether it was watching cooking videos, doing ancestry research or watching ships come in and out of Duluth. Together Kevin and Karen enjoyed their many days spent at the cabin on Lake Shetek, going to Birch Harbor in Park Rapids and fishing trips to Canada. He was kind, intelligent and a proud dad who will be greatly missed.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Kyle (Brianna) and Kari Tadd; grandchildren, Gavin, Noah, Stella, Ryker, Raeburn; siblings, Allan (Vicky) Tadd, Roland (Laurel) Tadd, Lynette (Harold) Giesler, Nan (Don) Gregoire; brother-in-laws, Spencer (Peggy) Kvam, David (Kim) Kvam; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wyman and Alice and in-laws, Spencer and June Kvam.
