Joshua James Arntz began his journey to the stars on October 12, 2026.
Josh was a beloved husband, father, and friend whose life was given meaning by the love he held for his family. He had a gentle heart, a protective nature, and a way of showing love through the tiny things that often meant the most. His family was his world, and the love he gave them will remain a part of them forever.
He loved playing video games, especially with his children. To him, it was not simply entertainment, but experiences that taught lessons, brought people together, and created joy. He cherished the late nights with Trevonte, after everyone else had gone to bed, when they could bond over their love of the medium. Those hours belonged to just the two of them.
Josh also loved being there for his family in the things that mattered most to them. He came along on the powwow trail, not simply to travel, but to be present for the people he loved. He loved watching Aviella dance, seeing her out in the arena doing something that brought her family together. He also loved listening to and watching Darrien drum, taking in those moments that connected their family through music, culture, and tradition.
Kaylor held an incredibly special place in Josh’s heart, and Josh took immense pride in the role Kaylor allowed him to have in his life. Kaylor may have first come into their lives as Tre’s best friend, but he became so much more than that. He became part of their family.
The bond they shared was something Josh cherished, especially knowing that Kaylor called him Dad. It was a role Josh took to heart and one he was proud to hold. Their relationship was a reminder that family is not always defined by blood, but by the love we give, the bonds we build, and the place we make for one another in our hearts.
Josh and Danielle shared a bond that was rare. What they had was a connection built on knowing one another deeply, loving one another wholeheartedly, and accepting the good and bad that came with their lives.
Josh knew every part of Danielle. He knew her heart, her personality, her little quirks, and the things that made her who she was. He understood her heart in a way that was rare, beyond words and beyond what the world could see. He was an incredible husband, a devoted provider, and a loving father who gave his all to the people he called family.
When Josh did something, he did it with his whole heart. That was true in the way he loved his wife, the way he raised his children, and the way he showed up for the people who mattered most to him.
Some of Josh and Danielle’s happiest memories were made while traveling together as a family. Their family vacations were some of the best, filled with experiences and moments they would carry with them forever.
And then there were the chocolate treats. Josh had a way of coming home with a little surprise for Danielle, especially when she had been having a stressful day. He would bring her chocolate just because he was thinking of her. Those little surprises were his way of saying, “I’m thinking about you. I love you. I want to make your day a little better.”
Music was a part of who Josh was. Even though he hadn’t written anything new in recent years, that certainly didn’t stop him from enjoying and appreciating hundreds of tracks across many genres. And if there was ever any debate, his favorite, Tech N9ne, was surely part of the conversation.
But Josh’s love for music went beyond lyrics and beats. Music was a part of his everyday life, something he always seemed to have playing. It was a source of comfort, expression, and healing. Music was something he loved, and it was something he wanted his children to understand, too.
Marty, Josh’s uncle who was more like a brother, shared a lifetime of memories with him, including the beginning of Josh and Danielle’s story and the never-ending joke that Marty could beat Josh at everything.
His best friends, Wickid and Cezar, were also family to Josh. They each shared a love of music and sought the meaning of the songs they listened to. Danielle would often walk into the room and hear Wickid’s voice over the phone and knew it would be a good few hours until they’d be done chatting, it brought her happiness that even from a thousand miles away, they always remained so close. Cezar and Josh began as friends at Josh’s previous job, in which they bonded over commonalities and stayed by each other’s side.
Josh’s life was woven together by the people he loved, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the countless ways he showed up for his family. He was a husband, a father, a friend, and a man whose love reached beyond the boundaries of family by blood.
For Danielle, he will always be the man who understood her heart, who loved her in a way that was uniquely theirs, and who made the ordinary moments of life mean something
He leaves behind a family who will carry his humor, his music, and his love into the years ahead. The people who loved him will continue to tell his stories, laugh at his jokes, and remember the little things that made him who he was.
