Jean Suckow, 69, of Maynard, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at CCM Health in Montevideo. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 1st at 2:00 pm at Rock Haven Church in Montevideo. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Jean Marie Suckow was born July 13, 1954, in Appleton, Minnesota, the daughter of Lewis and Leona (Haines) Carl. She was baptized at St. John’s Catholic Church in Appleton. She attended school in Appleton.
Jean was united in marriage with Bradley Suckow on July 24, 1971, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Holloway. Together they owned and operated a restaurant for many years.
Jean was very religious and enjoyed sharing and talking about the Lord. She loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and crafts with the grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing with her family.
Jean is survived by her husband Brad, children: Trevor Suckow of Clarkfield, Tonia (David) Beck of Appleton, Adam (Jana) Suckow of Clarkfield and Alicia Suckow (Benito Aguirre) of Clarkfield; grandchildren: Clayton Beck (fiancé Molly Mortenson), Jadon Beck, Aysia (Jerrad) Clairmont, Brennin Aguirre (special friend Emma Klenken), Carmen Aguirre, Cira Aguirre, Daniel Aguirre and Raine Aguirre; siblings: Charlie Carl, Lester (Kathy) Carl, Vicki (Claude) Sherod, Arlen Carl and Kay Matter; brothers-in-law: DuWayne (Joyce) Suckow and Bill (Deb) Suckow and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Perseke, brother Dale Carl, in-laws William & Lorna Suckow and two brothers-in-law Garland Suckow and Eugene Suckow.
