Jacob Heidecker, age 28, of Clarkfield, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at his home. Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Jacob Byron Heidecker was born on February 3, 1994 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was the son of Greg Heidecker and Jodi (Kirchoff) Randt. Jacob was baptized on May 14, 1994 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He attended school in Montevideo and graduated from the ALC.
In 2009, Jake’s friends felt he needed to meet Ari Ross, which they arranged. He didn’t “get the hint” right away, but luckily they were able to create another “meeting” and the rest is history. Jacob and Ari welcomed their son, Raleigh in 2015, followed by Grayson in 2018. His boys were his world and being a good Dad was his purpose in life.
Jake was talented in knowing how to fix things. His trade was a small engine mechanic and he currently was taking in mechanical work while being a stay-at-home Dad. Jake previously worked at Christensen Farms and also Friendship Homes in Montevideo. He enjoyed helping his friend remodel his home.
Jake’s hobbies included fishing, kayaking, snowmobiling the fresh powder and driving his motorcycles, which he was always fixing and improving. He loved anything outdoor, constantly finding yard work to do or starting a bonfire to enjoy. Jake was one of a kind, some may call him wild, others knew him as goofy, but all knew him as genuine. He was kind and trustworthy, always there to listen without judging. We will miss his smug smirk and even his terrible Dad jokes that he loved to share.
Jacob is survived by his soulmate, Ari Ross of Clarkfield; children, Raleigh, Grayson and baby due in October; father, Greg Heidecker of Clarkfield; mother, Jodi (Jeff) Randt of Casa Grande, AZ; grandmothers, Hope Heidecker of Minneota, Carol Kirchoff of Brownton; siblings, Savannah Heidecker, Tylor Heidecker, Breanna Heidecker, Jonah Heidecker; nieces and nephew, Bailey, Kyla, Alekzander, Paislee, Kaleena, Scylla; as well as other relatives and friends.
Jacob is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Heidecker.
