Eva Mae Hansen

Eva Mae Hansen was born March 27, 1922, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Schulke) Weckwerth in Montevideo. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo. Eva Mae graduated from the Montevideo High School. She worked at several places in Montevideo including a bakery, S&L Department Store and was a secretary to the principle at Ramsey School before retiring.
She was united in marriage to George Hansen on April 28, 1946. To this union two children were born. One son died in childbirth and one son (Bruce) died when he was 16. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Sparta. Eva Mae passed away on the afternoon of November 8, 2014, surrounded by family. She was 92 years of age.
She is survived by one sister Norma Nordby of Montevideo, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, both of her sons and brother-in-law Archie Nordby.
