Edward Aurthur Durheim was born May 23, 1944, the son of Harry and Lillie (Froslan) Durheim, in St. James, Riverside Township, Watonwan County. The family moved to the family farm in 1948 and he lived and worked the land. He graduated from St. James High School.
Ed served his country in the United States Army National Guard for six years. He was honorably discharged. In 1976, he moved to Clara City. He worked at the VSC for four years. He later attended the Vo-Tech for two years for automotive repair. In 1988, he went to work for the Willmar Poultry Company raising turkeys for 21 years. He retired in 2010 and went to work driving school bus.
Ed loved to watch the Minnesota Twins, enjoyed fishing and tinkering with small engines.
Ed passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was 75 years of age.
He is survived by his brothers: Harvey of Clara City, Norman (Millie) of Melrose and Everett (Nancy) of Kimball, Nebraska; and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 10am at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the church and continue one hour prior to services on Saturday.
