Daniel Romo

Daniel Romo, age 65, of Rochester, Minnesota and formerly of Granite Falls passed away Friday, September 4, 2026. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Daniel Jens Romo was born on March 4, 1961, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, and grew up on the family farm. He attended Hawk Creek Lutheran Church as a child and was confirmed at Hawk Creek as well. Daniel graduated from Granite Falls High School. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mankato State University. Daniel worked at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota, for 28+ years as a systems analyst and troubleshooter.

Daniel is survived by three brothers: his twin, David (Pam), Arne (Lili), and Joel Romo; and two nieces, Christiana (Cole) Wellnitz and Grace (Josh) Skaggs; daughters of Arne and Lili.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Eleanor Romo; his aunts, Alice and Esther Romo; his brothers, Harold and Eric Romo; his sister, Solveig Romo; and his niece, Karina Romo; daughter of David and Pam.

Daniel had a brilliant mind, a deep love of family, and a generous heart for anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by each and everyone of us!
