Barbara Anspach, 66, of Montevideo, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Rochester Methodist Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 1:00 pm at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Barbara “Tootie” Jean (Sampson) Anspach was born October 5th, 1955, in Dawson, MN to Elmer and Olga (Wenskaug) Sampson. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church and later graduated from the Dawson High School in 1973.

Barb was united in marriage to David Anspach on April 10, 1976, at Grace Lutheran Church.  Barb worked at MTI for 25 years and then at Prairie 5 until she retired in 2020.  She enjoyed making quilts, embroidering dish towels, reading books and cheering on the Vikings and Minnesota Twins. Barb loved traveling on vacation, playing cards and drinking coffee with her friends. She also loved camping and sitting around the fire in the evenings. Barb cherished her time with her grandchildren, whether it was baking cookies, watching movies, swimming, or going out for lunch.

Barb had a heart of gold and always put others first. She loved helping her family and friends. Her kindness extended beyond words.

Barb is survived by her husband Dave, children: Dustin (Shana) of Montevideo, Jacob (Kassidie) of Moorhead, MN and Cristal (Greg) of Fallbrook, CA;

Her beloved Grandchildren: Chase, Dylan, Ava, Emersyn, Sutton, Teaguin, Kolby, Tyler, & Ethan; nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Special friends: Kelly, Morgan, Paris, and Ciara.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Douglas, and her son Christopher in 1998.

Barb was called home to the Lord on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 at the Rochester Methodist Hospital.

Her memory will always be treasured by her family and friends.
