Allan Elbert, age 62, of Willmar, Minnesota and formerly of Clara City passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his home. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in St. Clara Catholic Cemetery.
Allan Edward Elbert was born January 25, 1961 to Marvin and Mary (Kinney) Elbert in Olivia, Minnesota. Allan was raised by Leonard and Genevieve Frank in rural Clara City. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Clara’s Catholic Church in Clara City. He graduated from Clara City High School in 1980.
Allan spent some time in Clara City, Alexandria, and rural Raymond before moving to Willmar for the last four years. Allan took pride in his work as a custodian and made sure his jobs were done well. He enjoyed walking around town and visiting with people in the community. He was also a Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan, liked listening to music, and just enjoyed being around people. Allan recently went on a cruise with his family and created some of his best memories.
Allan is survived by his siblings, Jim (Mary Ann) Elbert of Silver Springs, MD, Marlyce (Joe) McCoy of St. Peter, Bob (Barb) Elbert of Olivia, Lois (Ron) Lenz of Renville, Rose (Gregg) Severson of Prior Lake, Rich (Emmy) Elbert of Olivia, William Elbert of Pinole, CA, and Mary Ann Neu of St. Joseph; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Allan is preceded in death by Leonard & Genevieve Frank and his parents, Marvin and Mary Elbert.
